Energy storage resources are critical to increasing the resilience of New Jersey’s electric grid, reducing carbon emissions, and enabling New Jersey’s transition to 100% clean energy. Phase 2 of the GSESP focuses on deploying distribution-level energy storage systems that can deliver measurable system value by reducing peak demand during critical periods that drive capacity and transmission costs.
