About the Program
On April 22, 2024, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, on behalf of the State of New Jersey, received a federal grant award of $156 million dollars from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under its Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund: Solar for All competitive grant program. The goals for the grant award are to 1) expand the existing Community Solar Energy Program, 2) support solar access for multifamily affordable housing, 3) establish pathways to residential solar ownership for low-income households, and 4) bolster solar workforce development and grid upgrades.
