Energy costs are a big part of the family budget, and if you're on a limited income, they can sometimes be a burden. If you could use some help paying your utility bills, be sure to attend one of the upcoming Energy Assistance Day events near you.
Representatives from the state's natural gas and electric utilities, as well as Community Action Partnership agencies will be on hand to:
Determine which grants and resources best meet your needs
Assist with the application process
Answer questions about your bill
In addition, income-eligible households may qualify for free home energy improvements to help reduce utility bills through the Comfort Partners Program.

To apply for assistance, you'll need to bring:
Income for Household
One month proof of household income statement.
SSN / Residency Status of Household
Copies of social security cards or residency status for all household members.
Proof of Household Address
Renters: Copy of rental lease or housing authority letter.
Homeowners: Tax bill, mortgage statement or deed.
Utility Bills for Household
All pages of electric, natural gas or heating bills.
