Contractors and New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program
Builders, developers, architects, general contractors, auditors, engineers, trades professionals, energy managers, consultants, and other clean energy businesses are key participants in New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program (NJCEP) and programs run by utility companies. Industry professionals in solar, energy efficiency, and other clean energy technologies can submit applications to various programs on behalf of their clients. You can also register your company to be a Trade Ally or a participating Partner that will be publicly listed on the NJCEP website. This will help your company gain visibility and attract new customers. New Jersey is also committed to workforce development, and rebates are offered to companies who wish to participate in workforce development courses.

Solar Programs
New Jersey continues to advance its clean energy goals through a range of active solar programs. These programs support the development of solar projects across the state – from residential and commercial installations to community solar and grid supply projects.
Solar installers and developers can leverage these programs to design, build, and register qualifying solar projects while earning incentives that support long-term project viability. Participation in these programs helps grow New Jersey’s solar market and contributes directly to achieving the state’s 100% clean energy goals.
The Administratively Determined Incentive (ADI) Program is a sub-program of the Successor Solar Incentive (SuSI Program). It provides incentives for net metered residential, net metered non-residential, remote net metered, and community solar projects of 5 MW (dc) or less.
Registrations are open
The Competitive Solar Incentive (CSI) Program is an annual competitive procurement that provides incentives to qualifying grid supply solar generation projects, grid supply solar generation paired with energy storage, and large non-residential net metered projects with a capacity greater than 5 MW dc.
The Community Solar Energy Program (CSEP) provides incentives to eligible community solar facilities that enable the continued efficient and orderly development of solar electric generating sources throughout New Jersey.
Active program
The Dual-Use Solar Pilot Program is designed to encourage the development of dual-use solar facilities and the creation of a new segment of the solar industry in New Jersey that is compatible with the State’s rich agricultural heritage.
Applications are open
The Remote Net Metering Program, a market segment of the SuSI-ADI program, approves and offers incentives to remote net metered solar energy projects and certifies public entities to act as receiving customers for remote net metered capacity.
